Open Framework and Ecosystem for Federated IaaS Clouds

Overview of the Project:

Develop an open IaaS cloud management framework with standardized API’s to enable flexible integration, federation and orchestration of different clouds and create a cloud ecosystem. In this way, we will be able to offer services on-demand to the users. For example, we could offer a service to execute workflows on demand using autonomic capabilities. The autonomics will self-drive the execution of the workflow as well as the provisioning of the resources based on user's policies.  Another interesting service we could offer is an associative object storage, which would involve creating a virtual storage unit across virtual machines in the data center, thereby breaking the barriers of physical location and offering seamless access to the data.
