Rutgers offering a certificate program in Big Data

The Rutgers School of Business in Camden is offering a two-day certificate program to provide working professionals with analytical skills that can help them solve business problems entitled “Unlocking the Mystery, Challenge and Opportunity of Big Data”.  The course will take place at the Waterfront Technology Center, 200 Federal St., from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 29 and Oct. 30.

The program is designed to teach participants to analyze and manage vast amounts of data effectively to improve business processes; apply the analysis and decision making process across disciplines; make informed decisions; and communicate results in clear, comprehensive ways.

The goal is that participants can use that information to enhance decision making skills in finance, marketing and operations. The program is intended for entry-to mid-level management and technology professionals; business, web and marketing analysts; and consultants. Michael Lowenstein, chief research officer at Relational Capital Group, will serve as program facilitator.
